1. Introduction

LamPhong POS ("Application", "we", "us") is committed to protecting user privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Important Note: LamPhong POS operates entirely within your local network. Data is not sent to the internet or stored on the cloud.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

Name, email, phone number
Business information (store name, address)

2.2 Transaction Data

Sales history and invoices
Product and inventory information
Customer information (if you choose to store it)

2.3 Technical Data

Device type, operating system
Local IP address, access logs

2.4 Image Data (SmartScan)

Product images (sent to the local server for search purposes)
Vector embeddings (numerical representations of images)

3. How We Use Information

To provide and operate the POS service
To process sales transactions
To synchronize data between devices within the local network
To search for products by image (SmartScan - processed at the local server)
To manage inventory and customers

4. Data Storage

4.1 Where is data stored?

Local Server: All data is stored on a server managed by you within your local network.
No Cloud: Data is not sent to the internet or third-party cloud services.
You Have Full Control: The data belongs to you and is managed by you.

4.2 Backup and Deletion

You are solely responsible for backing up your data.
Data Deletion: Delete directly on your database server.

We do NOT collect or access your data because:

The application runs entirely offline/locally.
There is no connection to our servers.
You operate and manage the system yourself.

6. Data Security

Encryption of data transmitted within the local network (HTTPS/TLS)
JWT authentication with token expiration
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Secure token storage on the iOS Keychain

Recommendation: Secure your WiFi/LAN network to prevent unauthorized access.

7. Camera and Access Permissions

The application requests camera permissions to:

Scan product barcodes
Search for products by image (SmartScan)
Take product photos for the catalog

7.1 SmartScan Feature

When using SmartScan:

Images are sent to your local server (not to the internet).
The server performs AI processing to find similar products.
Data does not leave the local network.

7.2 Barcode Scanning

Processed entirely on the device.
Only the barcode string is sent to the local server.

8. Your Rights

Since you manage the server yourself, you have full rights to:

Access and view all data
Edit or delete any data
Export data from the database
Backup and restore as desired

9. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated when a new version of the application is released.
